The first of many new bests for me! 

The thing I love about tracking everything in my garmin is that it keeps track of my PRs. I’m getting to the point in my training where each Saturday when I do my long run I will get a new “Congratulations” notification.

5.2 is not the furthest I’ve ever run because I do a 10k every year, but I haven’t had my garmin for those events. So it’s like I’m starting anew. New challenges. New awards. Having these silly little awards pop up in my garmin motivates me. It sounds kind of dumb, but it’s a visual reminder of the progress I’m making. It makes me happy.

So… yay – a personal best in the books! On to the next new best.
