Pump It Up

Most grueling workout ever!

Bodypump!

I’ve always considered myself to be a strong person, but this class kicked my ass.

And I loved it!!

One thing I learned: eat something substantial before you go. The last 15 minutes was rough. ROUGH! I started feeling like I was going to puke and feeling real weak. Granted, there were nearly 1000 reps of weights in one way or another, but the weakness was more from lack of sustenance than quantity of reps.

So I came home and ATE!

Sauteed a bunch of veggies – asparagus, snow peas, mushrooms, garlic, and baby potatoes. Scrambled up a dozen eggs (don’t worry, I didn’t eat them all).

Threw them on a whole grain English muffin with a couple slices of pepper jack cheese. Plus a little extra on my plate because I was HUNGRY! Drank more than a quarter of water.

Parked my carcass on the recliner. And didn’t move the rest of the evening.

So far I’m moving alright this morning. We’ll see how that progresses throughout the day. It’s my rest day today with a four mile run on my schedule for Sunday. Could be an interesting run.

Working out is hard.

  1. I did a body pump class once when I was about 17 and almost threw up afterwards… they are tough!! I haven’t wanted to go back since and i’m 26 now so I salute you for getting it done!

    • Oh man, I wanted to throw up. But I attribute that more to only having had salad for lunch and then having a handful of nuts before the class. I wasn’t properly nourished. I won’t make that mistake again. Also, I’ve just conned one of my friends in to going with me next Thursday. SUCKAH!! 😀
