Wildwood

Hap Happiest Season

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

The hustle and bustle of 4wheelers starting up after a long winter.

The sound of leaves crackling as they’re raked up and put into the roaring fire pit.

The sound of friends laughing and visiting.

Yup. You guessed it. It’s Wildwood season! Time to get ready for a Spring, Summer, and Fall off the grid.

As with the beginning of any season, there are preparations to be made. My husband might have gone a little overboard. You’ll have to be the judge of that.

A turkey fryer. That happens to be sitting on top of a keggerator. Yes, you read that right. A KEGgerator! *sigh*
A turkey fryer. Because deep fried turkey at our annual Thanksgiving dinner is to die for! It happens to be sitting on top of a keggerator. Yes, you read that right. A KEGgerator! Because. Well, because we hang out with a bunch of lushes. Awesome people. But lushes.
A propane grill. Because charcoal takes too long. And when it's time to eat, it is Time. To. Eat!!

We’re having our Kick Off The Season fish fry this weekend. As I’ve been watching the emails go around with food assignments, I’m doing the math. The ratio of food and alcohol versus the number of people who will be there. All I have to say about that is the math does not add up!

But that’s all OK. Because it really, truly is the Hap, Happiest Season Of All!
