I’m taking a break from my cruise updates because I have important shit to talk about!
For the past two months (right before Christmas) I have been dealing with this lingering sinus drainage problem. It goes beyond my normal sinus issues with my allergies so my allergy meds have not been touching the ick that is going on inside me. I’ve been popping Dayquil and/or Nyquil like it’s my damned job! It ebbs for awhile, but then comes right back. Today we are on the “comes right back” schedule.
So….
Two homeopathic things that I know have natural antiviral properties are ginger and garlic. Garlic is also known to have natural antibiotic and antifungal properties. It’s no wonder that legend says it wards off vampires. It’s because it has anti-everything in it. If you have a weak stomach, you’d probably best go read something else for a bit.
After I minced it up as well as I could, I took my meat tenderizer and with the smooth end of the “hammer” I crushed the minced cloves.
I added the juice from the half lemon to the garlic.
I didn’t have any fresh ginger or I’d have grated that up instead. I mixed this all up very well then put it into a shot glass.
My concoction filled the shot glass about 2/3 of the way. I topped it off with Jameson (you could use any whiskey you have on hand) and then mixed it up really well.
DOWN THE HATCH!!!!
I will be perfectly honest with you. It did NOT taste good! As a matter of fact, it was rather disgusting. But you know what? I do not care! If it’ll help nip this stupid whateveritisthativegot then it is worth it.
I will let you know if it helped. For now, I feel like I need some Italian bread with butter to absorb the amount of garlic I’ve just consumed!
