Let’s Get Sassy

I don’t know how things are in your neck of the woods, but where I live it’s supposed to be mid-90s during the holiday weekend (Memorial Day in the US). I dehydrate easily so I drink a ton of water, but I get so tired of drinking water all day long.

A friend of mine gave me this recipe and I thought I’d share. It’s called Sassy Water and it is a great change of pace when you’re bored with getting the amounts of water recommended.

  • 8 1/2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 medium cucumber , sliced thin
  • 1 medium lemon , sliced thin
  • 12 leaves spearmint

Mix all those ingredients together and let it sit in the refrigerator over night. Strain it and drink up! I will be making a bunch of this up and putting it in water bottles for my weekend of camping!

Give it a whirl. It’s really quite refreshing!
