Getting back on track means that I’m trying to be really good about what I’m eating. I’m going to have to ease up on the running for a few days. I was having stabbing pains in my knee because, you know….if it’s not one thing, it’s a hundred thousand others. I have to listen to my body. I feel like I’m at its beck and call. But I can control what I eat, damn it!! So….here was dinner last night:
Mark hates asparagus with a passion. I gave him four whole stalks out of that batch. He’s good to eat whatever I give him so I try to make it as painless as possible.
I diced onions and baby Bellas really fine and sauteed them in Canola oil. I split the cooked mixture in half and put half into the ground turkey and saved half for the gravy. I added an egg, some garlic salt, ground sage, poultry seasoning, and rolled oats to the ground turkey and made four burgers to pan fry in Canola.
See. Turkey burgers. My problem with these pics is that everything was steaming so I couldn’t get a clear shot. *shrug*
I made a simple gravy with cream of chicken soup, a little milk and the sauteed onions and mushrooms. I got one of those cool “as seen on TV” stirrers. It actually works quite well. I just put it in the pan and turn it on. It stirs the gravy so my hands are free to take care of other things.
Before I left on my workout I put some sweet potatoes in the oven so they were don’t by the time I got home. Mark was happy about the gravy on the asparagus. Made it easier for him to choke it down. Poor guy. He’s so abused.
Now I’m just waiting to see some results from my healthy eating and working out. I’d really like to see those results right now, thankyouverymuch!!
